1.Paul's prayer in Ephesians 1 is not a request for God to release new blessings, but a prayer of revelation for God to disclose Himself so believers can know Him better.

This Week

Examine your current perception of God to identify if you are operating with a therapeutic, tribal, taskmaster, or temperamental mindset.
Reframe recent seasons of pain or loss by asking God how He wants to use the difficulty to train your character rather than assuming He is punishing you.
Shift your motivation for serving from trying to earn God's affection to simply responding out of love for who He already is.
Pray for those outside your political, ethnic, or social circles to avoid reducing God to a tribal deity who only favors your group.
Practice resting in your identity as a son or daughter of God this week rather than tying your spiritual worth exclusively to your performance.
When you make a mistake, run toward God for restoration and fixing instead of running away in fear of punishment.
Meditate on the immutability of God's love, reminding yourself daily that His affection for you does not fluctuate with your feelings or circumstances.

Remember This

Your spiritual experience with God will never be right if your spiritual awareness of God is wrong, which is why we must trade false cultural caricatures of God for the holy, immutable love of the true God of scripture.

A Challenge for You

Our hope and prayer through this message is that you begin to ask yourself what God you were given, and make sure that as you peruse this list, the God you actually trust is the true God of the Bible who is holy, righteous, consistent, and faithful.
