Avoiding Offense

Discernment

Key Points

1.Love is not merely a feeling but a function, requiring us to actively meet God's love language of worship.
2.When believers properly meet God's love language, He moves from omnipresence (air) to manifest presence (wind and action).
3.Fulfilling your God-given purpose often requires pivoting away from those who reject your help toward those who desire it.
4.Jesus taught us not to give sacred things to those lacking discernment, protecting what was produced in us through season of pain and agitation.
5.The Canaanite woman prioritized worship before her petition, acknowledging Jesus' messianic authority before asking for help.
6.God's silence in seasons of prayer is never neglectful but strategic, testing our persistence to carry us to verse 28.
7.True spiritual worship cannot be contingent on immediate 'yeses' from God, but must remain anchored in who He is.

This Week

Begin your daily prayer time with intentional worship of who God is before bringing your personal requests to Him.
When experiencing God's silence in prayer, choose to draw closer to Him in worship rather than becoming offended or quitting.
Exercise spiritual discernment by investing your time and God-given gifts where they are received and valued.
Guard the wisdom gained through your past struggles instead of wasting it on unappreciative or hostile arguments.
Maintain a lifestyle of praise regardless of whether God's answer to your request is yes, wait, or no.
Practice shouting and vocalizing praise this week as an intentional act of faith in Christ's ultimate victory.
Trust in God's limitless spiritual supply, knowing that even a single word or 'crumb' from Him is more than enough for your breakthrough.

True faith puts worship before the request, trusting God's character and remaining steadfast through His silence until His power is revealed.
