Summary

We often come to God focused on our most pressing physical or practical problems, but Jesus reveals that what we think we need is rarely our deepest need. In Mark 2, when four friends lower a paralyzed man through a roof, Jesus first addresses the man's spiritual paralysis by forgiving his sins before restoring his physical strength. True freedom and transformation begin when we recognize that our greatest need is to be forgiven and redeemed through Jesus Christ.

3.Why would he forgive me if I can't forgive myself?

2.The Christian life was never intended to be a solo mission; we need a community of faith to carry us to Jesus.

This Week

Identify your current biggest worry or request, and surrender it to God while asking Him to reveal your deeper spiritual needs.
Get connected to a local church connection group, ministry team, or community group so you are not walking through life alone.
Be one of the four friends in someone's life by actively praying for them and carrying them toward an encounter with Jesus.
Stop striving to earn salvation through good deeds and rely fully on the completed work of Jesus on the cross.
Reject feelings of unworthiness by meditating on the truth that Christ's death and resurrection fully paid for your past sins.
Extend grace and forgiveness to someone who has hurt you, using the undeserved forgiveness you received from God as your model.
Keep praying consistently for your 'one more'—that specific family member or friend who needs to experience Jesus's redeeming love.

What you think you need may not be your deepest need, because your greatest need in life is to be forgiven and redeemed by Jesus Christ.
