Ask God how he wants to use a past or current season of pain or inconvenience to minister to someone else.
Practice surrender by writing out your personal short-term and long-term plans in pencil, giving God permission to erase or alter them.
Discontinue relying on approval from people whose opinions are not critical to your God-given destiny.

Self-sabotage is often driven by stubbornness rather than sinfulness, keeping us stuck until we yield to God's direction and own our need for change.

Write your dreams and plans in pencil, giving God a complete and pre-emptive 'yes' to alter your direction according to His divine calling rather than your personal convenience.
