Summary

In this message, Pastor Bobby Chandler launches the Courageous series by calling believers to stand firm on biblical truth even when facing worldly opposition and culture's threats. By putting on the full armor of God and trusting in the Holy Spirit living within us, we are empowered to overcome fear, false accusations, and difficult circumstances. Like Stephen in the book of Acts, when we keep our gaze fixed on Jesus rather than our pain, God gives us supernatural strength and peace to live boldly for His kingdom.

Pastor's Points

1.

The truth will cause false accusations to come.

2.

The truth will always open your eyes to see Jesus Christ more clearly.

Key Points

1.
The truth will cause false accusations to come when we boldly speak and live God's word in a hostile culture.
2.
The truth will always open your eyes to see Jesus Christ more clearly, fixing our gaze on Him in every trial.
3.
Believers face a spiritual battle against unseen evil forces rather than human enemies, requiring us to put on the armor of God and rely on His strength daily.
4.
True biblical courage is not the absence of fear, but choosing to trust God's presence and promises through the fear we experience.
5.
The same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives inside every believer, granting us wisdom and power beyond our natural strength.
6.
Misplaced focus leads to misplaced purpose, so we must be willing to say no to good ideas that distract from God's primary calling.
7.
When facing opposition, believers should not fight flesh with flesh or ruin their testimony in anger, but stay silent when necessary and overcome evil by doing good.

This Week

Put on the full armor of God daily through prayer and Scripture before stepping into your everyday battles.

Replace self-confidence with God-confidence by taking your honest fears to Him and obeying His word despite feeling anxious.

Establish biblical boundaries by learning to say no to distractions that hinder God's specific calling for your life.

Refrain from arguing or retaliating when falsely accused or criticized, trusting God to be your defender.

Overcome insult and gossip by actively choosing to do good and letting God's peace reflect on your face and conduct.

Practice forgiveness toward those who oppose or hurt you, surrendering offenses completely over to the Lord.

Fix your focus on Jesus during difficult trials rather than staring at your pain or chaotic circumstances.

Remember This

When you stand boldly on biblical truth for Jesus on earth, Jesus stands for you in heaven and equips you with supernatural strength, peace, and Holy Spirit power to overcome every trial.

A Challenge for You

When the world is throwing stones, you can keep standing on biblical truth because when you stand for Jesus on earth, Jesus will stand for you in the kingdom of heaven.
