Trusting God's Sovereignty

The Character of the Good Shepherd

1.Green Pastures — Places and opportunities of divine provision, nourishment, and essential rest.

1.One of the greatest tragedies in life is living aimlessly without a true sense of purpose or divine direction.
2.The Bible repeatedly compares human beings to sheep to show our fundamental need for constant leadership and guidance.

This Week

Identify areas of busyness in your schedule and set aside dedicated time for true Sabbath rest and spiritual nourishment.
Bring unresolved interpersonal friction or relational strife to the Lord in prayer so He can quiet your heart.
Spend unhurried time in quiet prayer with God without asking for anything, focusing simply on enjoying His presence.
Confess any recent departures or backslidings into sin, receiving God's gracious restoration and right standing.
Surrender a major decision or future plan to the Holy Spirit, asking Him to be your guidance and GPS.
Commit to remaining faithful on the difficult or obscure path God currently has you on instead of trying to walk away.

Remember This

When we surrender our self-direction and allow the Good Shepherd to lead, He faithfully guides us to places of provision, soul-restoring rest, and righteous paths for His glory.

A Challenge for You

My prayer for you is that you will let Him lead you and guide you as a Good Shepherd to green pastures, beside still waters, and to paths of righteousness for His name's sake, for your good, and for His glory because He loves you and cares for you as His sheep.
