Summary

When unexpected darkness or sudden life changes hit, believers can rest assured that God orchestrates unexpected situations to bring about His expected blessings. Drawing from Mary's encounter with the angel Gabriel in Luke 1, Pastor Herbert Fontnette reminds us that God's favor rests upon His children and that nothing is impossible with Him. Just as a movie preview builds excitement for what is coming, God gives believers glimpses of His future goodness, inviting us to walk in faith, embrace the Holy Spirit's transforming power, and praise Him in advance.

Key Points

1.
God frequently uses unexpected, dark, or chaotic circumstances in life as the catalyst to bring about His divine blessings.
2.
When God's favor rests upon your life, you do not need to look to ungodly or external sources for direction, validation, or your future.
3.
Recognizing God's favor empowers believers to walk with spiritual confidence rather than feeling defeated or shrinking back to fit in.
4.
Human limitation is no barrier to God because the Holy Spirit accomplishes divine work far beyond human capacity.
5.
In the life of a believer, the Holy Spirit brings true internal transformation, granting new spiritual life and empowering believers to forgive and live rightly.
6.
God's word never fails, and no promise He speaks is impossible for Him to bring to pass regardless of how contradictory circumstances appear.
7.
Like Joseph loving Mary despite confusing public circumstances, God loves and embraces us when others would cast us away.
8.
Just as movie previews offer an exciting glimpse of what is to come, God gives believers previews of coming blessings so they can praise Him in advance.

Sermon Moments

“God will often orchestrate the unexpected to bring about an expected blessing.”

“If you have God's favor resting upon your life, why are you walking around looking defeated or searching the world for direction?”

“No star can determine your future and no worldly practice can solve your problems; your life is held securely in the palm of God's hand.”

“The Holy Spirit doesn't just make you shout on Sunday; He gives you the power to forgive your enemies and live a transformed life.”

“For nothing shall be impossible with God, no matter how contradictory your current situation appears.”

“Mary surrendered to God’s word by declaring, 'May it be done to me according to your word,' choosing faith over understanding.”

“Just like getting excited for a movie preview before the main film plays, believers can praise God for the glimpses of blessings He shows them in advance.”

This Week

Refuse to look to worldly or ungodly sources like horoscopes or external trends for guidance, anchoring your identity firmly in God's word.

When sudden dark or unexpected trials arise, pause and declare by faith that everything is going to be all right because God remains in control.

Stop dumbing down or hiding God's blessings in your life to fit in with others; walk with humble confidence as a child of God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to bring fresh transformation into your daily walk, empowering you to leave behind old habits and extend genuine forgiveness to enemies.

Write down a promise God has spoken over your life or family, and meditate on Luke 1:37 whenever doubts about its possibility arise.

Offer advance praise to God for the glimpses or 'previews' He has given you of upcoming breakthroughs, long before the full manifestation arrives.

Emulate Mary’s response of faith by praying, "Lord, may it be done to me according to Your word," submitting fully to His divine plan.

Remember This

God orchestrates unexpected situations to accomplish His promises, giving believers glimpses of future blessings so they can walk confidently and praise Him in advance.
