Summary

Lady DeAndra Blake encourages believers to rely fully on the Holy Spirit as our divine Helper, Teacher, and Guide through every curveball of life. When we feel inadequate in prayer or uncertain of how to navigate difficulties, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf and aligns our hearts with the Father's will. By listening to His conviction and yielding to His presence, our hearts are transformed to walk in true obedience as we look forward to Christ's return.

Key Points

1.
Jesus promised His followers that the Father would send the Holy Spirit as another Helper to abide with them forever, teach them all things, and remind them of Christ's words.
2.
Human intellect and scholarship cannot unlock the deeper mysteries of Scripture on their own; spiritual truths are revealed exclusively by the Holy Spirit, who knows the thoughts of God.
3.
When believers feel inadequate or lack the words to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes with groanings according to the Father's heart and will.
4.
Praying scripture aligns human hearts with God's heart, bringing holy confidence that the Lord hears and answers our requests.
5.
The Holy Spirit convicts believers of sin and righteousness, giving us a warning voice when our thoughts or actions do not please God.
6.
Ignoring or quenching the Spirit's conviction desensitizes the conscience and leads to spiritual wandering, whereas true repentance prioritizes God's presence above all else.
7.
God replaces rebellious, stone-like hearts with tender hearts of flesh, putting His Spirit within believers to empower true obedience and produce spiritual fruit.
8.
God freely and eagerly bestows the Holy Spirit upon anyone who asks, assuring believers that they will never have to walk through life's trials alone.

Sermon Moments

“When the Holy Spirit helps us to pray the very heart of God, our heart is communing with the heart of God.”

“If we continually quench the work of the Spirit by ignoring Him, we get to where we no longer feel His conviction, which means we have wandered far from God.”

“King David realized after his sin that nothing in life was more important than preserving the presence of God and the Holy Spirit within his life.”

“God promises to remove our rebellious heart of stone and replace it with a responsive heart of flesh, placing His Spirit in us to cause us to walk in His statutes.”

“Say yes to the Holy Spirit, whom God freely gives, and you will never travel the road of this life alone.”

This Week

Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your daily Bible reading, asking Him to illuminate truths and reveal divine wisdom that human intellect alone cannot grasp.

Lean on the Holy Spirit during prayer when you feel at a loss for words, trusting Him to intercede on your behalf according to God's perfect will.

Pray scripture back to God during your quiet time to keep your heart and prayers aligned with the Father's heart.

Respond quickly to the conviction of the Holy Spirit rather than ignoring His subtle voice or quenching His work in your life.

Examine your heart regularly like King David, asking God to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you.

Rely on the Spirit's power to cultivate spiritual fruit—such as love, patience, gentleness, and self-control—in challenging daily situations.

Ask the Heavenly Father daily for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, trusting His promise to freely give good gifts to those who ask.

Remember This

The Holy Spirit is our abiding Helper who intercedes in our weakness, convicts us toward righteousness, and transforms our hearts so we can live in obedience to God.

A Challenge for You

May every heart that heard God's word not leave the same as they came, but leave believing and with joy, knowing that the Holy Spirit is with them forever.
