Summary

In this message on Matthew 26:57–68, Pastor Arik Hayes examines Jesus' illegal trial before Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin. When faced with corrupt judges, false witnesses, physical abuse, and mockery, Jesus displayed miraculous restraint by rendering Himself defenseless for our sake. Key Points

1.Experiencing evil at the hands of people who are meant to protect and guide you cuts far deeper than general hardship.

This Week

Carve out quiet, uninterrupted daily time to read the Bible and seek a personal revelation of Jesus.
Pray bold prayers with confidence, remembering that you are crying out to your Father whose name is Power.
Stand firm in your character and convictions when facing disrespect or mistreatment, following Christ's restraint.
Turn down your screens and eliminate daily noise to spend quiet moments in God's presence.
Choose to forgive those who have disappointed, hurt, or abandoned you instead of harboring bitterness.
Remain steadfast in your faith during seasons when you feel isolated or lack immediate support from others.
Trust that God can use circumstances meant for your harm to accomplish His good purposes in your life.

Remember This

Jesus intentionally rendered Himself defenseless against corruption and abuse so that we could be saved and know our Father whose name is Power.

A Challenge for You

Turn down your screen, carve away time from your busy life, and steal away to get to know Jesus through His living Word so you can stand solid in any trial.
