Key Points
- 1.Six things women wish men knew: 1) They engage in multitasking and multi-thinking (25 windows open), 2) They find intimacy in conversation, 3) They want men to listen first and problem-solve later, 4) They find safety in consistency, 5) They desire to be talked to rather than talked at, and 6) They retain a soft side even when acting strong.
- 2.Ten ways husbands create insecurity in marriage: 1) Being emotionally unavailable, 2) Neglecting financial and future planning, 3) Comparing her to other women, 4) Breaking promises, 5) Being harsh with words or tone, 6) Flirting or maintaining side relationships, 7) Failing to defend her, 8) Keeping secrets or hiding things, 9) Dismissing her feelings, and 10) Making her third place behind job and hobbies.
- 3.Believers must walk carefully and wisely, making decisions today with long-term spiritual impact on future generations in mind.
- 4.Husbands must study Scripture directly for themselves rather than relying on external media snippets or secondhand spiritual teaching.
- 5.Fulfilling the biblical standard for marriage cannot be accomplished in human effort; it requires daily empowerment by the Holy Spirit.
- 6.God commands husbands to love their wives with the same sacrificial care that Christ demonstrated for the church.
- 7.A husband's primary source of earthly joy should come from watching his wife grow spiritually and mature under his loving leadership.

Remember This
God calls husbands to love their wives sacrifically as Christ loved the church, finding joy in their spouse's spiritual growth and prioritizing their marriage above all other earthly pursuits.
A Challenge for You
Heavenly Father, fill every man in this house with Your Spirit afresh. Remind us of Your standard and give us a new vision for how we can love our wives just as You loved us. Teach us how to find joy in bringing all of life under the lordship of Jesus Christ, and help us by the power of the Holy Spirit to model the way and fight for our families. These are personal sermon notes shared to help you remember the message — not a replacement for Scripture, your church, or your pastors.
