1.Paul wanted the church to know his joy over their gift was not manipulation to keep them giving, as he had learned contentment regardless of circumstances.
2.Contentment is an abiding peace of mind, inner satisfaction, and self-contained confidence in God independent of external conditions.
3.Drawing strength from Christ on the inside enables believers to do all things and navigate every season of need or plenty.

This Week

Evaluate your financial stewardship and determine if money has become an idol or if you are freely using it for God's kingdom.
Commit to supporting your local church regularly and faithfully rather than giving sporadically or out of obligation.
Focus on storing up eternal rewards in heaven by investing your time, talent, and treasure into gospel ministry.
Pray for your pastor and spiritual leaders, asking God to sustain them mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Look for a practical, unexpected way to be sacrificial and generous toward someone in need in your church community this week.

Remember This

True contentment is found in Christ alone, and meditating on His sacrifice on the cross compels us to live lives of joyful, sacrificial generosity.

Go and be a generous people in your home and outside your home. Join those who are sacrificing for the spread of the gospel, and let us take territory in our city and beyond for the glory of Jesus.
