11.The biblical concept of 'blessed' stems from the Greek word 'makarios', which describes a state of inner happiness, extreme fortune, and spiritual flourishing.
12.Being 'poor in spirit' means recognizing complete internal bankruptcy and becoming a desperate beggar for God's presence and grace.
13.Meekness is not weakness; it is gentleness, humility, and strength kept under complete control.
14.Believers must extend mercy because anyone who has looked at the cross and received divine forgiveness cannot justify holding grudges against others.
15.Peacemakers do not merely keep the peace; they actively go out of their way to rebuild peace in the middle of conflict.

True happiness and flourishing (makarios) do not come from external possessions or circumstances, but from an internal heart transformation through the character of Christ.
