Summary
In Matthew 26:1–16, we witness two vastly different responses to Jesus Christ: the sacrificial, extravagant devotion of Mary of Bethany and the deceptive, self-serving betrayal of Judas Iscariot. True devotion holds nothing back from the Savior and prioritizes sitting at His feet above outward religious busyness or human approval. As believers, we are called to examine our hearts and ensure our service flows out of genuine intimacy with Christ rather than offense, greed, or surface-level routine.Key Scriptures
