Ask 'Is it helpful?' by determining if your actions will serve and build up others rather than merely seeking to please them.
Practice epistemological humility by remaining open to correction and realizing that passionate feelings do not guarantee spiritual accuracy.
Invest time daily in studying Scripture so that you develop the spiritual knowledge required to recognize God's voice.
When you feel God giving you a word or direction, pause to seek clarity on proper interpretation and application before acting.

Remember This

Just because an impression feels strong or good does not mean it is from God, so every prompting must be tested through the scriptural filter of being holy, healthy, and helpful.

Put every internal voice, prompt, and impression through the filter—is it holy, is it healthy, and is it helpful?—so that you can walk in spiritual clarity and avoid being led astray.
