Micah
Rebukes and promises during Judah's royal reigns
The prophet Micah wrote this book during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, between about 759 BC and 698 BC. He addressed his message to the people, especially directing parts of it to their princes and heads. During this time, the LORD held a controversy with His people. Micah's ministry combined sharp rebukes for the nation with enduring promises, pointing toward a great deliverance that the LORD would achieve for His people.
