Day 1 · Job Submits Himself to the LORD
Job 42:1–6
1Then Job replied to the LORD: 2“I know that You can do all things and that no plan of Yours can be thwarted. 3You asked, ‘Who is this who conceals My counsel without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. 4You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak. I will question you, and you shall inform Me.’ 5My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen You. 6Therefore I retract my words, and I repent in dust and ashes.”

Observe
What contrast does Job make in verse 5 between how he related to God in the past and how he sees God now?
Apply
When you encounter situations this week that you do not fully understand, how can you practice trusting God's wisdom rather than demanding immediate answers?
In the app, each day also opens the words in the original language, what the passage meant to its first readers, pastors teaching it, a place to write, and a time to pray.
