Ephesians
Profound gospel truths and unity in Christ
Paul wrote this letter to the church at Ephesus, probably about AD 62, while imprisoned in Rome. He had previously spent about three years ministering in Ephesus, helping establish the church in that key city of Asia Minor. Unlike some of his other letters, no specific errors or crises prompted this writing. Instead, Paul wrote out of deep love for the believers there. He wanted to give them full instruction in the profound doctrines of the gospel, encourage their spiritual growth, and show the unity of the church in Christ.
