2 John
A warning to an elect lady against false teachers
This short letter does not name its author, but it is traditionally credited to John. It is addressed to "the elect lady," though some read this phrase as the proper name Kyria. The person addressed is commended for her piety, but false teachers were posing a danger, so she is warned against them. Out of the thirteen verses composing this letter, seven are also found in the First Epistle. It closes with greetings from the children of her elect sister.
